Appointment Cancellation and Did Not Attend Policy

Tamborine Village Medical is committed to providing high-quality care to all our patients. To ensure that we can offer appointments to all patients, the following Appointment Cancellation and Did Not Attend Policy applies.

Appointment Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Notice:
Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.
Patients can cancel appointments via phone, or through our app, AMS Connect

How to Cancel:

Failure to Attend Policy
Missed Appointments:
If a patient fails to attend a scheduled appointment without providing 2 hours' notice, a $30 fee will be charged.
Billing:
The missed appointment fee will be added to the patient’s account and must be settled before scheduling any future appointments.
Patients will receive a message via SMS with details of the missed appointment fee and a payment link.

Exemptions and Special Considerations
Emergency Situations:
We understand that emergencies can arise. In such cases, please contact reception as soon as possible to inform us of your situation. Each case will be considered individually.
Repeated Missed Appointments:
Patients who miss multiple appointments without providing adequate notice may be subject to additional fees and may be required to prepay for future appointments.
Appeals:
If a patient believes they were unfairly charged a missed appointment fee, they may submit a written appeal to the practice manager. Appeals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
